How to port your mobile number

Federal Communications Commission(FCC) which controls all mobile companies has laid out these rules as mentioned below. It is your right to change your cell phone company, and the current company won't stop you from changing to a new company even ifyou own the current mobile operator

Before proceeding please check these:

  1. Your company is free to charge you for your mobile number porting.
  2. The number porting may take 1 or more days
  3. Don't hurry to cancel your service with existing Provider
  4. Make sure that you are allowed to port your number
  5. Check with new Provider if they can accommodate you
  6. Make sure your connection is active and all dues paid
  7. You will need to submit LoA(Letter of Authorization) with accurate details and possible account PIN for approval. Otherwise your request may be rejected

Contact your Provider and proceed. Have your current account details and Letter of Authorization ready along with PIN if there is one
